Health Care for Seniors

Town Hall Report

In November 2016, I hosted a public discussion on health care for seniors in Qualicum Beach, in partnership with the Canadian Medical Association, local residents associations, and community caregivers. About 240 people attended the town hall meeting.

My office also mailed an invitation to this public event to all households in Courtenay-Alberni. We received about 500 responses from people who were unable to attend, listing their concerns and suggestions for the ongoing health care funding negotiations between the federal government and British Columbia.

We combined all the feedback into a report that I sent to the Minister of Health. I invite you to read my letter and the town hall report at the link below.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any thoughts, suggestions or concerns about health care for seniors.

Sincerely,

Gord Johns, MP
